What REBAR Byron Bay, 8 Jonson St, keeps when you order or join the club, and why. Short, because we keep very little.
When you order
Your mobile number, what you ordered, any request you typed, and the time. The staff see it on the kitchen screen so they can make your drinks and call you if something has run out. Orders are called by number, so we do not ask for your name. Once you tap “Buzz me when it’s ready” and allow notifications, each order you place keeps your phone’s notification address, uses it once to tell you it’s ready, and deletes it when the order is picked up. Turn notifications off for REBAR in your phone’s settings to stop.
When you pay
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to them, not to us — we never see it or store it. Stripe keeps what it needs to process the payment, under its own privacy policy.
If you join the club
Your email address, the number on your member card, which orders you placed while signed in, and every credit you earned or spent. We use the email only to send you a sign-in link — no newsletters unless you ask for them.
On your phone
Your bag and the last order you placed are kept in your own browser, so they are still there if you close the page. No advertising trackers, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Where it is kept
Orders and club details are stored with Supabase, our database provider, and sign-in emails are sent through an email provider. Like Stripe, these services may store data outside Australia. Only the shop can read it.
Getting it back
You can delete your club account at any time from the You tab. That removes your login, your card and your credit; past orders stay with the shop for its records, without your account on them. To see or correct anything else we hold about you, call us on (02) 6680 9307 or ask at the counter.
